  8. FRANK S. PANABAKER signed PAINTING. Frank Panabaker landscape painting signed lower right, titled on verso “Dundas Valley Spring”. Oil on Masonite. Art measures 13” x 16”. Bio, Frank Shirley Panabaker (1904-1992) was a Canadian landscape painter and his art focused on Southern Ontario and Mount Assiniboine. He was born in Hespeler Ontario and attended OCA and Grand Central School of Art in NY City. Condition is Excellent, no repairs, as per photos
  9. 1936 CARVED WOOD MODEL CAR. Exceptional and unique scale model wood car in a Deco fluid air-flow design. Finely carved from solid block, detailed with lever activated synchronized turning headlamps and front wheels, coil and leaf spring suspension, bench made metal trim and components, detailed Ontario license, finished interior with hand painted gauges and brass button hub caps. Made in 1950’s by Bruce Evans, 11 Cross St. St. Catharines Ontario. Dimensions 20” L x 7” W x 6” H. Condition is VG, all original, some wear to paint, loss of fender skirts, as per photos.   10. 1950’S CARVED WOOD MODEL CAR. Bench made, scaled wood model of big fin era stylized Cadilac. Model is incomplete. Engine compartment is complete and fitted with detailed wood motor, fully wired, with fan, power steering pump, coil and alternator. Hood and trunk lift. Dimensions, 20.5” L x 7.5” W x 5.5” H. Made in 1950’s by Bruce Evans, 11 Cross St. St. Catharines ON. Condition is Good, needs final assembly and paint.
  11. ANTIQUE PINE HARVEST TABLE. Circa 1850’s pine Ontario harvest table with square tapered legs and original 2 board top. Dimensions, 6’ L x 34.5” W x 29.5” H, with skirt height of 22” from floor. Condition is Good, tight construction, old refinish, stains and marks consistent with 150 years of use, as per photos.

  13. 1880’S SWISS CYLINDER ROLL MUSIC BOX. Antique cylinder roll music box with 3 bells with a play selection of 10 tunes. The case is inlaid rosewood that measures 10.5” x 18.5” x 8.5” H. Made by S.H.A. in St. Croix Switzerland with 6.25” cylinder and 3 bells with butterfly hammers. Retains original tune sheet. Condition is VG, fully functioning playing mechanics, good sound, some inlay loss to case, as per photos.
  14. RARE G.I. LAZIER STONEWARE FOOT WARMER. Exceptional, being only known example of Ontario stoneware foot warmer with script decoration “FOOT WARMER” and pottery marked “G.I. Lazier, Picton C.W.” Dimensions, 14” L x 6” W x 6.5” H. Photo plate 26 -16, page 317 in “The Potter’s Reach” by Moe Johnson. Condition is Excellent, no repairs, small flake on rim, as per photos.

  17. ALICE A. INNES signed PAINTING. 1940’s winter landscape painting with rural home, signed Alice A. Innes. Oil on board. Art dimensions, 10.5” x 13.5”. Alice Amelia Innes, 1890-1970, born in Embro Ontario. She was an OCA graduate, studied under J.W. Beatty and was a regular exhibiter with R.C.A. and O.S.A. in 1930’s-1940’s. Known as a pioneer of Women in Canadian art. Condition is Excellent, as per photos.

  19. LAWRENCE DAVIS signed DUCK CARVING. Exceptional solid block carving of Black Bellied Whistling Duck, signed Lawrence Davis (b. 1909-1982, Seagrave ON), and dated 1977. Polychrome decorated, with carved wings and very detailed feet. Stands 17” tall and mounted to 7” x 9” organic shaped base. Condition is Excellent, original, no repairs.   20. MID 19TH MARKHAM “BARKEY” CHEST OF DRAWERS. Exceptionally fine 1850’s paint decorated 5- drawer chest, attributed to Barkey & Davis, Markham ON. Detailed decoration includes case painted in burnt sienna with combed and sponged application and drawers with ragged on sweeping fans of a nut-brown colour.
  21. CHAVIGNAUD signed LANDSCAPE WATERCOLOR. Georges Chavignaud (Canadian b.1865-1944) signed landscape of Woman walking forested rural road with village buildings in background. Watercolour, dimensions 13” x 17”. Condition is Excellent. Bio. Chavignaud was a prolific Artist that moved to Toronto from Brittany France in 1884. Known for his landscapes, portraits and marine paintings in oil and watercolour. He was a member of O.S.A., ALCT, CSPWC and regular exhibitor at R.C.A. His works are in several museum collections, including National Gallery of Canada.

Welland County (Stevensville) pine dry sink, dating from the last quarter of 19th Constructed with tongue and groove molded plank 2 door façade with interior shelves, resting on applied bracket base with centre foot.   25. VINTAGE BLACK FOREST BEAR HALLSTAND. Vintage carved wood Black Forrest Bear hallstand. Carving comprised of large standing mother black bear and 2 tree topping black bear cubs. Detailed with removable segments and 2-piece tree trunk. Dimensions, 7’5” H x 19” W x 19” D. Condition is Good, some age cracks, minor faults and losses, as per photos.
  26. CAPE BRETON FOLK ART ROOSTER. Folky colourful life-size carved pine rooster. Labeled on base “By Irvin Drummond August 1996, Louisdale Cape Breton, 68 years od, retired boiler maker”. Condition is Good, vibrant paint, chip on beak, some feather loss.
  27. ANTIQUE QUEBEC PINE GAMEBOARD. Late 19th century Quebec pine gameboard with painted 12 x 12 square game configuration. Gameboard is constructed with pine 2 board playing surface and framed in pine trim. Dimensions, 18.75 x 28.5” x 1.25”. Condition is VG, original paint and varnish surface, some surface wear, as per photos.

  29. 1840’S ELGIN CTY. WALNUT LAMP TABLE. Circa 1840’s walnut 1 drawer work table from Port Burwell, in Elgin County Ontario, along the North shore of Lake Erie. Detailed with maple cock-beaded trim around dovetailed drawer face and original small cast brass pull. Dimensions, 19” D x 20” W x 28” H. Condition is VG, original old finish, tight sturdy frame, minor marks and faults as per photos.
  30. ANTIQUE STONEWARE P.H. SMITH JAR. Circa 1850 stoneware 3 Gallon jar in ovoid form with applied lug handles. Jar is stamped with pottery mark “P.H. Smith” and “3” (Akron Ohio), decorated with cobalt double floral decoration, 12” H. Condition is VG, some kiln bumps and glaze fry, ½” chip to rim at back of jar.
  31. ANTIQUE ROSEWOOD WRITING SLOPE. Outstanding 19th century English brass fitted rosewood presentation writing slope. Detailed with brass string inlay, fleur-de-lis corner hardware and presentation plaque from “The Campsie Building Society” dated 29th May 1874. Dimensions ,10” D x 20” L x 7.25” H. Condition is VG, very good hardware and decoration, some exterior surface wear, interior faults as per photos.
  32. DOUGLAS ELLIOT signed PAINTING. Skillful interpreted painting of “Streetsville Mill” winter landscape with broad brush strokes. Signed bottom right, titled on verso “McCarthy’s Mill Streetsville”. O.I.P. Member. Oil on Masonite. Art measures 20” x25”. Douglas Fergus Elliot (Canadian 1916-2012) was a postwar contemporary Artist who specialized in capturing rural landscape scenes from Ontario, Maritimes and New England States. Known as plein air painter and for his loose Impressionist style with broad brush strokes. Condition Excellent.
  33. CARL H. FISCHER signed PAINTING. Bold, colourful and large still life painting of Sunflowers. Signed Carl H. Fischer (Danish) on top right, art size 24” x 29”. Oil paint on Masonite. Condition is Excellent. Carl Holger Fischer (1885-1955) was born in Denmark and known for large floral still life paintings.

  35. 18TH QUEBEC DIAMOND POINT BUFFET BAS. Striking late 18th century Quebec 2 door low buffet with diamond point panel doors and fielded panel sides. Case constructed with pegged tenon joints and hand forged nails, original forged hinges. Petite size 19” D x 42” W x 52” H. Condition is Good, old refinish, original hardware, base restored, as per photos.
  36. ANTIQUE STAR QUILT. Very graphic and colourful vintage quilt in “4 Touching Stars” pattern with double diamond border. Skillfully detailed with elaborate needlework designs of covered bowl with finial, wreaths and floral swags.   37. ONTARIO PAINTED TABLE TOP DESK. Circa 1840 Waterloo County table top slant lid desk in original paint decoration. The paint design of brushed abstract black swags over red ground decorates top and all sides of desk. Constructed of pine with square/cut nails with an interior fitted with bank of shelves.   38. ANTIQUE HORSE WEATHER VANE. Early 20th century sheet iron running horse weather vane with integral directional arrow. Vane is constructed with sheet metal horse silhouette riveted to contoured strap metal frame. Found in the Ottawa Valley, measuring 39” W x 39” high. Condition is Excellent.
  39. ANTIQUE ONTARIO COUNTRY SETTEE. Circa 1860’s-70’s country settee from Leeds County Ontario. Detailed with profiled and scalloped base and back rest. Retains original brown surface. Condition is Excellent, tight frame, no faults, signs of light wear, as per photos.
  40. ANTIQUE GRENFELL HOOKED RUG. Exceptional early 19th century large Grenfell hooked rug of “Mallards in Flight Over Marsh” design. Detailed with Mallards in flight, marsh reeds and terrain.   46. GEORGE P. WISEMAN signed MARINE PAINTING. George P. Wiseman (Canadian 1905-1995 marine artist) signed and dated 1970 watercolour of the “Grand Knight” trawler.   51. ERNEST SAWFORD DYE signed WATERCOLOUR. Ernest Sawford-Dye (Canadian 1873-1965) signed Ontario winter landscape watercolour. Signed lower right. Art measures 10.5” x 14.5”. Excellent Condition.  Sawford-Dye was a landscape painter who worked in watercolour and is known for his northern Ontario landscapes, farm scenes and wildlife studies.  He studied at the Norwich School of Art under Miller Smith RBA (Royal Society of British Artists) and The Royal Institute of Water Colour Painters. He moved to New Liskeard Ontario in 1913 and spent the remainder of his life there.

  64. ANTIQUE STORAGE CHEST. An excellent Ontario 6 board blanket chest from the second quarter of the 19th century in excellent original decorative paint with boot jack cutouts. Lap joint construction, applied moldings to lid with square/cut nails. Dimensions, 17” D x 43” W x 23” H. Condition is Excellent, original paint decoration, light areas of wear applicable to age, as per photos.
  65. ANTIQUE PAINTED DISH CUPBOARD. Exceptional circa 1840-1850 Brant County, painted, step-back, 2-piece, pine dish cupboard. Found in Burford Ontario, descended through early Misener Family. Built by early Germanic cabinet makers and detailed with applied vertical and horizontal split pilasters, butterfly brass hardware, cockbeaded doors and side boards, lozenge drawer faces and pronounced stepped cornice. A very balanced façade with 8 glass panes per door and glazing mullions that line up with interior shelves! Dimensions, 18” D x 50” W x 7’ tall. Condition is VG, untouched, original early paint history, original hardware, minor wear and paint loss, loss to 5 door panes, as per photos.

Ernest Sawford-Dye (1873-1965) signed watercolour with artist name labeled frame, of Northern Ontario landscape, titled on verso “Old Ferguson Highway” between Temagami and North Bay. Dimensions, sight size 6” x 8”. Condition is Excellent, as per photos. Bio. Sawford-Dye was a Canadian watercolourist known for his Northern Ontario landscapes and wildlife studies. The safe is detailed in 2 colour enamel, yellow pinstriping and lithographed horses in full dress harness applied to all door panels. Cast with faux wheels and retaining original interior shelf. Designed with mohair textile covered wood frame with carved muzzle and hooves, glass eyes, cast iron 2 .75” diameter wheels, cast metal stirrups, horse hair mane and tail, leather and suede harness and saddle. Condition is Excellent considering age and use, exceptionally clean, some hair loss to lower mane, minor fabric fault around 1 eye, as per photos.

Jacquet” and introduced on frame label “G Jacquet”. The portraiture is oil paint on wood panel. The art measures 9” x 13”. Partial label on verso is attributed to early New York “Ex Knoedler Gallery”. Condition is VG, no faults or repairs. Bio, Jacquet was known as one of William Bourereau’s top students, and qualified as a painter of refined delicacy, visible in all his portraiture and figural works. His works are held in Paris, Chicago, LaRochelle, Brooklyn and many other museums.

Bio, Buttner was born in Austria spent the majority of her painting career in Germany and was known as a painter of landscapes, horses and figures.

Condition is Excellent. Roger de la Corbiere studied under Russian artist Ivan F. Choultse, landscape realism painter, and exhibited at the Paris Salon for 35 years. Best known for his Seascapes and how he portrayed the intersection of light and water. His paintings are in many advanced collections and museums through out the world
