HISTORICAL/SPECIAL INTEREST: Figured Walnut Tea Caddy belonging to “Sir William Fenwick Williams, (The Hero of Kars) 1st Baronet of Kars, born December 21, 1799 in Annapolis Royal Nova Scotia, schooled at Royal Military Academy in Woolwich, Crimean War, 1854 promoted to Brigadier-General War. In 1859 Sir William was appointed Commander-in-Chief of Forces in Canada and later 1st Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia 1865-1867, died in London in 1883”. Also offered is his folding Campaign Chair (less seat insert) and a 8th plate Daguerrotype, of Williams, penned on reverse “Gov. Williams, Hero of Kars (Turkey)”;
Fabulous Tiffany Sterling Trophy Cup supported on triangular base of three boat anchors with rope, base marked “Tiffany & Co, 1264, English Sterling 925/1000, 8537, 550 Broadway”, It has three engraved cartouche that read – “Burlington (Ontario) Boat Club 1862 First Class Yachting”, “The Zouave Messrs. Macrae V Gates 8th August 1863” and “Won By The Star Capt. E. Zealand July 1867” standing 9 ¼”H with 5 ½” cup, weighing 705 grams or 22.56 troy ounces;
Calgary 1988 Winter Olympic Games Gold Medal with ribbon in presentation case. One of only four test medals made, marked SAMPLE!
