  1. VINTAGE NOVA SCOTIA HOOKED RUG. Circa 1930’s Vintage Nova Scotia Hooked Rug in Geometric Clam Shell Pattern with great colour. Size:32” x 52”. VG Condition, tight border/edges, (2) old repairs, as per photos.
  2. VINTAGE COPPER DOG WEATHERVANE. Mid-20th Sheet Copper Silhouette Dog Weathervane with great verdigris. Riveted construction, from sheet, tube and strap copper with applied ears. Dimensions: 19” tall, 27” wide”. Rests on tri-leg wrought iron stand. Excellent Condition. As per photos.
  3. ANTIQUE REDWARE 5 GALLON CROCK. Circa 1870’s Ontario Earthenware Ovid Form Crock of approximately 5 Gallon size. Detailed with colourful splotch glaze green and orange and lug handles. Dimensions: 14 ¾” tall, 13 ½” diameter. Exceptional, clean condition, near perfect, 3” hairline from rim to ear, as per photos.
  4. 19TH C ESKIMO POINTED TIP SNOWSHOES. Scarce, Circa-1880 Eskimo/ Sub Arctic Pointed Tip Wood Snowshoes with a Great History. Collected by Anglica Diocese Bishop Lofthouse who ran a Mission in The District of Keewatin/Hudson Bay Area. Also, authored the book “A Thousand Miles From a Post Office”. Lofthouse travelled with J. W. Tyrell, exploring and surveying Canada’s north, and is mentioned in Tyrell’s book. Snowshoes were purchased from a Family descendant. Also known as Aagimug, they are constructed from bent wood, possibly ash. They have delicate interlaced latticework and remnants of red wool tassels fitted to outer rails. Dimensions: 16” wide, 45 ½” long. VG condition, light wear, period repairs to webbing/latticework, as per photos.
  5. 19TH NIAGARA PAINTED FOOT STOOL. Circa 1860’s Painted Poplar Footstool. Found in Niagara. Original, red and blue paint. Constructed with splayed legs and cut nails. Dimensions: 9” D x 16” W x 8 ½” H. VG Condition, tight, original paint, wear to top, as per photos.
  6. C 1870’S CAST IRON GARDEN SEAT. Victorian 19th Century Cast Iron Garden Settee. Cast in “Martha Washington” pattern. Dimensions: 32” x 44” x 13”. VG Condition, great grungy original paint surface, 1 bolt replaced, as per photos.

  9. SCARCE C 1900 TERRACOTTA GARDEN GNOME. Exceptional Large Antique Austrian Terracotta Garden Gnome in Polychrome Paint. Attributed to Bernhard  Strobel.   12. BIRKS STERLING SILVER CANDELABRA (PAIR). Pair of Vintage Sterling Silver, Weighted Candelabra with 2 Arms and 3 Candle Sockets. Octagonal bases and socket flange both marked, “Birks Sterling, Original Hall Marked 1697and 51/26”. Dimensions: 5 ¼” Octagonal bases and 15” tall. Good Condition, minor faults, as per photos.

  14. VINTAGE MANSION HOUSE PAINTED SIGN. Vintage Double-Sided Painted Wood, Picture Framed Sign, Celebrating a St. Catharines Landmark since 1806. Gilt and polychrome script and portraiture decoration. Dimensions: 39” W x 51” H x 4” D. Excellent Condition, as per photo.
  15. SAM HUTCHINGS CARVED DECOY. Circa 1920’s Sam Hutchings (1894-1995 Jones Falls, Ontario) Carved Solid Block Decoy. Utilized, working Hutchings Decoy, shot over, exceptionally dry, pebbly paint surface. Detailed with gouge carved feather design that continues under the body. Dimensions: 12 ¾” L, 4 ¾” wide. Good Condition, great 100-year untouched paint surface, as per photos.
  16. RARE 1822 U.C. LAND GRANT WITH WAX SEAL. Rare, November 6, 1822 Province of Upper Canada Land Deed on Vellum with Attached Wax Seal. Significant Document to Empire Loyalist William Chisholm of Milton Township, of Halton County in The District of Gore (Private-rank, Incorporated Militia) deeding 100 Acres in Township of Eramosa, in County of Halton, in the District of Gore. The 100-acre grant, surveyed as “Lot #16, of 4th Conse(f)sion, in The Township of Eramosa”. Size: 17 ½” x 14 ½” and 4 5/8” diameter wax seal. Excellent Condition to Historical Document and attached Wax Crown Seal. Note, Signed by Witness For “Sir Peregrine Maitland and Major Burchal (Burchell) , Commanding Officer of Fort York.
  17. 1912 JOHANN GLASS 4/4 SIZE GERMAN VIOLIN. A very good 4/4 size German Violin, bearing the signed label “Johann Glass – Artist’s, Leipzig 1912. The back is formed with two pieces of figured/tiger maple with medium width flames. Ribs, neck and scroll are of maple with similar figure. The top is two pieces of spruce with narrow to medium width grains. Varnish is a rich orange-red colour on yellow ground. Measurements: Length 360 mm, Width – Middle Bouts 114 mm, Width Upper Bouts 167 mm and Width Lower Bouts 206 mm. The Instrument is in Excellent Condition, as per photos.
  18. JAEGER ETUI HARD SHELL VIOLIN CASE. Vintage, Original Jaeger Etui, Shaped, Hard Shell, Leather Covered Violin Case. Detailed with padded suspension system, plush interior with blanket, hand sewn leather and two bow holders. Dimensions: 30 ¾” long, 9 ½” wide, 6” deep. VG Condition, pristine interior, clean, as per photo.
  19. BROCKS MONUMENT ST. DAVIDS PAINTING. 1830’s Historical Painting of St. Davids Ontario Landscape with seated British Soldier, Traveler and General Brock’s Monument in background. Attributed to early Niagara Artist J. W. Woodruff. Early label on verso reads “A Soldiers Tale”, A view of the Brock Memorial from a pond near the Town of St. Davids. Circa 1830. Artist possibly J. D. Woodriff (SP). Medium: Oil on Wood Panel. Sight size: 7” x 12 ½”. Frame size: 14” x19”. VG Condition, as per photos.
  20. CIRCA 1800 HUDSON BAY SILVER TRADE CROSS. Exceptional, large Hudson Bay Silver Trade Cross Necklace assembled with 21 Cobalt Glass Bauble Trade Beads. This Fur Trade Era (1780-1840) Artifact includes Silver Lorrain Cross inset with black onyx stones. The Cross features silversmith marks “Montreal”, “HB” Hudson Bay Company and “WS” William Sylvester, known early silversmith. Provenance: “Jim Dressler Collection” Museum Bargersville Indiana and Fleischer’s Auction House, Columbus Ohio. Dimensions: Silver Lorrain Cross 5 5/8” H. 4 3/16” W., Cobalt Blue Beads 1 ¼” diameter (approximate). VG Condition, as per photos.
  21. EARLY 19TH C CEINTURE FLECHEE: Scarce, Quebec, Circa 1840’s Finger Woven, Worsted Wool Assumption Sash. Detailed with arrow core, colours, red, white yellow, gray and yellow coloured wool. Width 8”, Body Length 69”, Full Length including Fringe 125”. Good Condition, strong colours, good edges, one old repair, as per photos.
  22. CIRCA 1900 WIRE GARDEN SEAT. Excellent Circa 1900 Iron Wire Work Camel Back Garden Bench with Sweeping Arms and Original Crusty Paint History. Detailed with rolled wire frame and spherical wire applications. Fire- welded wrought iron frame and worked wire construction. Dimensions: 43” wide, 35” H, 24” D.   25. CIRCA 1850 NIAGARA RAINBOW DOCUMENT BOX. Exceptional, Circa 1850 Niagara Dome-Top “Rainbow” Document Box with Exuberant Polychrome Decoration.   26. EARLY NIAGARA REDWARE ¼ GALLON JAR. Circa 1860’s ¼ Gallon Redware Jar with Lug Handles and Recessed Base. Jar decorated in green and orange glaze, highlighted with splotches and swags. Dimensions: 5 7/8” H x 4 7/8” diameter. VG Condition, very clean surface, firing cracks at base, as per photos. Ex Nick Treanor Collection.
  27. ANTIQUE NIAGARA PAINTED WOOD GAMEBOARD.  Circa 1890’s Primitive Paint-Decorated Pine Gameboard from St. Catharines, Lincoln County, Ontario.  Decoration in red and yellow geometric design. Gameboard is photographed with description in “An Exhibition of Canadian Gameboards”, on page 20/21.Dimensions: 15 ¾” 15 ¾” x 7/8”.  VG Condition, as per photos.
  28. CIRCA 1850’S MI’KMAQ QUILL BOX. Circa 1850’s Mi’kmaq Oval Covered, Three Band Box decorated in Pre Victorian Lightning Pattern. Constructed from birch bark, porcupine quills, cedar and spruce root. Quills colors are all of natural dyes. Dimensions: 8 3/8” L x 5 ½” W x 5 ¼” H. VG Condition, sporadic quill loss, as per photos.
  29. MID 20TH C IROQUOIS FALSE FACE MASK. Exceptionally Carved Wood Onondaga- Iroquois, False Face, Crooked Nose Grandfather Mask. Carved in 1959-1960 by Onondaga – Iroquois Tribal Member “Gana Twa” known as City. A life size, face fitting Mask with exceptional carved facial features, polychrome paint decoration, copper inlay eye sockets and fitted with original horse-hair. Dimensions: 6 3/8” W x 11 ¼” H.   30. 19th NIAGARA PAINT DECORATED BLANKET BOX. Colourful Circa 1850 Lincoln County (Niagara) Blanket Chest in fabulous Original Paint Decoration. Paint decorated with sweeping arcs, sponge work and brushed borders details in yellow, ochre, green and black. Attributed Samuel Moyer (Lincoln County). Dimensions:19” x 43 ½” x 22 ½” H. VG Condition, strong colours, paint wear, as per photos.
  31. C 1830 MI’KMAQ QUILLED BIRCH PLACEMAT. Early 1830’s Oval Mi’kmaq worked Birch Bark and Dyed Porcupine Quill Placemat. Complex design with modified double rainbow and geometric circle pattern with appliqued silk edging with French trade seed beads. Quills, dyed red, blue, yellow and white. VG Condition, light colour fading, sparse quill loss, toned silk edges, as per photos.  Dimensions: 13 ¼” L x 9 1/8” W.
  32. 1870’S W.& J. NOLL PETERSBURG ONT. COVERLET. Circa 1870’s Waterloo County Tied Double Cloth Jacquard Coverlet with Signed Cartouche “From W.& J. Noll / Petersburg Ont.”. Woven with bright red wool on white cotton ground. This an early Noll (operated from 1870-1905) Coverlet with only single corner cartouche. Design incorporates crow and bush border with quad floral field. Size: 74” x 82”. VG Condition, full fringe to 3 sides as made, as per photos.
  33. C 1910 ART DECO IRON GARDEN URNS.  Pair of American Art Deco 1910-1920, Cast Iron Garden Urns. Characterized by their Sculptural lines and elegant vasiform bodies. Attributed to Kramer Bros, Foundry, Dayton Ohio. Each assembled from (3) pieces – round base, soil/water interior jacket and urn with integral handles. They feature a “Double Handled” design with angular geometric handles that are the hall mark of Art Deco style.  Dimensions: 40” H, 28” across arms. VG Condition, desirable weathered patina surface of gray paint and surface oxidation, no cracks, chips or repairs.
  34. 17TH IRON LION DOOR KNOCKER. Late 17th Century Heavy Cast Iron Lion Mask Door Knocker from Le Petite Musse, Montreal. Door Knocker is 7” tall, 4 ½” wide, 2” deep. Assembled with hand-made period nuts and bolts. VG Condition, as per photos.
  35. C 1840 NIAGARA WALNUT BLANKET BOX. Antique Circa 1840-1850 Lincoln County (Niagara) Walnut Two Drawer Blanket Chest. Detailed with dovetailed case & outside bracket base, lapped drawers and interior covered till. Dimensions. VG Condition, older refinish, replaced brass pulls, as per photos.

  37. HISTORICAL 1850’S METIS WALL POCKET. Historical, Circa- 1850’s (With Riel Reference) Decorated Metis Wall or Watch Pocket. Watch/Wall Pocket detailed with silk thread floral embroidery design, silk trim edges, and green glass beads on tanned hide. Attached tag reads “From Riel Rebellion, see letter in file / 2/28/24 Mrs. T.W. Sims Halifax N.S.”. Dimensions: Oval 3 ¼” x 5 ½”. Provenance: Roy H.   38.  18TH C MAHOGANY KNIFE BOX.  A Very Fine Circa 1790-1810, George III Mahogany, Cross Banded and Inlaid Serpentine Knife Box or Cutlery Canteen with Fitted Interior. Features sloping lid, serpentine front with satinwood crossbanding and rosewood and boxwood chevron stringing. Figured mahogany lid inlaid with Conch shell cartouche. Dimensions: 8 ¾” W x 12” D x 14 5/8” H. VG Condition, old French polish refinish, as per photos.
  39. STERLING SILVER BERRY SPOON LOT (3). Early English Georgian/Victorian Hallmarked Sterling Spoons Lot (3). Displaying deep relief foliate and fruit design and crimped bowl shoulders. Cartouche not monogrammed.  Total (3) weight 210 grams / 6.76 ozt. VG Condition, as per photos.
  40. CLASSICAL IRON FOUR SEASON FIGURES ON BASE (4). Exceptional, Vintage and Large Set of (4) Cast Iron Allegorical Female Figure Garden Sculptures depicting the “Four Seasons” resting on Cast Iron Plinth Bases.   41. ANTIQUE QUEBEC PAINTED TAVERN TABLE. Rare, C. 1840 Quebec Tavern Table in Original Salmon Colour Paint. Detailed with fine turned “H” stretcher base, turned legs and tongue and groove four-board top. Dimensions: 30” diameter top, 28” H. Great Provenance, “Found at Fitzpatrick Farm. Alumette Island, Pontiac County, Quebec. VG Condition, tight construction, original paint history, as per photos.
  42. EARLY QUEBEC CARVED PINE GAMEBOARD. Circa 1860’s Quebec Carved Pine Checker/Chess Board in Original Paint History. Gameboard squares are carved with diamond design used to decorate Quebec case-piece furniture. Board ends are inscribed with geometric hex motif under paint. Butterscotch Paint Colour. Dimensions; 22 7/8” x 14” x 1 ¼” thick. Board is constructed from single width pine board and framed sides with square/cut nails. VG Condition, original paint history, minor loss to board trim tail, old age crack, as per photos.
  43. 18TH QUEBEC DIAMOND POINT DOOR. Early 1780-1820 Painted Pine Cupboard Door Artifact, in-set with Diamond-Point Panel. Decorated in original paint history of red over gray and putty colours. Hand forged rosehead nail and wood peg construction. Size: 21 ½” x 27 ½”. VG Condition, as per photos.
  44. ANTIQUE FOLK ART QUEBEC ROCKING HORSE. Great Folky Look, 1870-1880 Quebec Carved Pine Rocking Horse. Exceptional, bold carved details with original paint, applied leather ears and real horse-hair mane and tail. Segmental-pieced, carved body construction. Original Rockers.  Dimensions: 47” W x 16 ½” D x 27” H. Excellent Condition, as per photos.

  46. ANTIQUE TARONI MAHOGANY BAROMETER. Early 19th Century (1800-1830) English, Large, Mahogany Wheel Barometer signed “Taroni / 55 High Street Portsmouth. Detailed with ebony stringing, silvered barometer dial, dry/damp register, thermometer and spirit level. Dimensions: 38” H, 10” diameter wheel, 2” deep. VG Condition, reconditioned, no damage to glass tubes, totally functional. As per photos.
  47. 19TH BRITISH COLONIAL LINEN RUG. Scarce, Early 1820’s, Georgian Period, British Linen 3-panel hand woven Rug. Wove in geometric foliate pattern design. Colours, red, gray, ochre, taupe and off white. Size: 90” x103”. Good Condition, great edges, areas of wear, some loose seam stitching, gentle fading, as per photos.
  48. ANTIQUE RILEY WHITING TALL CASE CLOCK. Circa 1819-1835 Paint Decorated Tall Case Clock with face signed “R. Whiting Winchester” (Winchester, Connecticut USA). An example of a R. Whiting signed, painted pine tall case clock with wooden gear movement. Case paintwork emulates ribbon mahogany. Base stands on cutout bracket feet. Tombstone topped door. Dimensions: base 16” W, Height 85”, Depth 10 ½”. Good Condition, complete, as per photos.
  49. ERNEST LAWSON signed PAINTING. Impressionist Painting of Marine Scene with Fishing Boat at Drydock signed E. Lawson (Canadian/American 1873-1939) lower left. Painted with heavy impasto brush strokes and palette. Lawson painted in Nova Scotia Circa 1920’s. Medium: oil on board. Size: 12” x 16”.
  50. 18TH QUEBEC BUTTERNUT COMMODE. Scarce, circa 1750-1770 Quebec Butternut Three-Drawer Serpentine Commode. Louis XVI style with serpentine front, flanked by panel sides, cabriole feet, DOVETAILED DRAWERS old or original hardware and shell carved base.   51. 19TH FORGED PENNY FOOT ANDIRONS. Circa 1820-1830 Hand-Forged Firedogs with Penny-Feet and Faceted Heads. Dimensions: 14” H x 11 ½” W x 19” D. Excellent Condition.
  52. VINTAGE 20TH NINE PATCH CHAIN QUILT. Circa 1930-1940’s Traditional Hand Quilted Nine Patch/ Irish Chain Variation Cotton Quilt. Wrought in vibrant Pumkin/Cheddar textile on White. Hand quilting is intricate and dense within the white spaces, worked with feathered vine and diagonal straight-line designs. Size: 72” x 74”.  VG Condition, as per photos.
  53. ANTIQUE QUEBEC POLYCHROME CHURCH STOUP. Early 19th Century Folky Quebec Painted Pine Church Stoup/Basin. Decorated in polychrome faux marble and diametrically applied diamond plaques. Constructed from turned laminated wood (pine and maple). VG Condition, old or original paint, missing zinc liner. A great Pedestal Planter for that folky room!
  54. 1850’S ATHABASCAN QUILL BELT.  Very Fine Circa 1850’s or Earlier Athabaskan (or Dene) People Quilled and Beaded Belt with a great provenance.   58.               VINTAGE GRENFELL MISSION HOOKED MAT.  Antique Circa 1910-1930 Grenfell Mission (Newfoundland and Labrador) Hand-Hooked Mat with bold Northern Indigenous Life Design.
